Graduation Tickets & Information

May 20th and 21st  Complimentary Guest tickets for Commencement can be picked up across from the Student Center during lunches.  All fines and fees must be cleared.  Each Senior will receive five (5) free tickets to give to family and friends.  Additional guest tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each from Ms. Heindel, the IHS Bookkeeper, May 30-June 17, 7:00am – 2:00pm.  A limited number of tickets will also be available for purchase at the door on June 18 at the arena.

Important: You will need to pick up your Senior Packet containing diploma, transcript, and immunizations on June 27.   Make sure the Counseling Office has your correct forwarding address.

Keep these documents in a safe place for future reference. We do NOT retain copies of diplomas
or immunization records.

Street parking around the arena is free; there are several thousand street parking spaces within walking distance of the arena. Street parking is limited to 90 minutes during the day. There is no time limit after 6pm. Nearby parking lots and garages are also available for a fee.

 


 
 
 

 
 

Parking and Drop-Off Areas

Main Entrances for Angel Of The Winds Arena are located on Hewitt Avenue and Wall Street.  ADA Parking is available on Oakes Avenue and in the Snohomish County Parking Garage.  Convenient drop off and pick up areas for guests are located along Hewitt Avenue and Oakes Street.

Guest Services are located at the main entrance. 
Guest Services staff will assist with wheelchair escorts.

Angel Of The Winds Arena at Everett

 

Student Transportation:

Students are encouraged to ride the provided school buses to graduation.  Seniors are to report to IHS at 12:30pm.  All buses will leave for Angel Of The Winds Arena at Everett by 1:00PM.  Buses will not bring students back to IHS after the ceremony.  Students not riding buses must be at the arena by 2:00pm.

Personal Items:

Students are not allowed to bring purses, cameras, clothes, etc. into the arena.  These items cannot be brought on the bus and should be kept by parents/guardians during the ceremony.  IHS assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.  There is no secure storage at the arena.

Cell Phones:

Student cell phones and other electronic devices must be turned off during the ceremony.  No pictures, text messaging, or gaming on the arena floor.  Cell phones may be used after the ceremony to locate family and guests.

Dress:

This is a formal occasion.  Nice clothes are to be worn under the gown, and shoes are required; no shorts, jeans, tennis shoes or casual sandals.  This is a special occasion for the entire Senior Class — please do not call attention to yourself.  Caps and gowns are not to be decorated.  Culturally traditional adornments are acceptable when customary for the student’s family.  Floral leis are allowed; however, no money leis, candy leis, or hand-held flowers.

Food:

Angel Of The Winds Arena at Everett does not allow outside food or beverage but it may be purchased in the arena.  No food or drink will be allowed on the floor, with the exception of students and staff with medical conditions.

Expected Behavior by Students and Guests:

The Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2019 will be conducted in a dignified and formal manner.  Many people have worked hard all year to ensure the quality of the ceremony.  Students are expected to exercise good judgment in their appearance and behavior.  Inappropriate or embarrassing actions by students or their guests will be grounds for exclusion from the ceremony.  No artificial noisemakers, air horns, beach balls, bubbles, signs, banners, etc. are allowed in the audience or on the floor where the students are seated.  Commencement is a family affair.  Guests are expected to be respectful of the occasion.

Pre-Ceremony Rehearsal:

All students must be at the arena by 2:00pm. The walking/seating chart will be posted on the IHS website and in the Galleria on June 15.  Students will be walking in and seated alphabetically, with the exception of Valedictorians and Salutatorians who will walk in first.  Guests and visitors are not allowed in the facility during rehearsal.

Admission:

The Angel Of The Winds Arena at Everett doors will open to family and guests at 3:00.  Admission is by ticket only.  Each family receives Five (5) free tickets to be picked up by seniors at lunch, May 20 -21.  Additional guest tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each from Ms. Heindel, the IHS Bookkeeper, May 30-June 17, 7:00am – 2:00pm.  Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door before the ceremony.

Audience Seating:

There will be no early admission to the arena seating areas.  Families and guests are to enter through the main doors only.  No food, water, banners, etc. will be permitted inside by the arena staff; food and beverage may be purchased inside the arena.  Families may not block off sections of seats.  Before, during, and after the ceremony, no one is permitted on the Arena floor other than graduates.  The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm. 

Accessibility:

The Angel Of The Winds Arena at Everett is fully accessible with ramps, elevators, and handicap seating.  For information on handicap parking or for an arena map, contact the Arena at (425) 322-2600.  If anyone in your party requires an ASL interpreter, please contact the IHS Main Office at (425) 408-7203.

Pictures:

A professional photographer (unaffiliated with Northshore School District) will take a picture of each senior as they receive their diploma cover.  Proofs will be available online and you may order copies – you are under no obligation to purchase these photos.  After the ceremony, visit their website, www.gradimages.com to view the photos.  If you wish to purchase photos, you may order from that website or by calling (800) 261-2576.  No one will be permitted on the floor during the ceremony to take pictures.

Prom and Senior Breakfast

Prom and Senior Breakfast tickets will go on sale on Monday, May 6th. The last day to purchase prom tickets will be Friday, May 17th. Prom will be at MoPop on May 18th from 7-10 pm. 

Senior Breakfast will be held at the Lynnwood Convention Center on Friday, June 14th. Senior Breakfast tickets will be sold through the IHS Bookkeeper and will be sold until Monday, June 10th. Included with your ticket will be a meal and transportation. Students who have purchased a ticket will be bused to the Convention Center after the Senior Assembly.

IHS Prom Guest Dance Contract

This year, students have the opportunity to purchase both tickets in a bundle package or individually depending on what they want to attend. All tickets will be sold through the ASB Bookkeepers office (425-408-7226). Ticket prices will be as follows:

Bundle (Prom and Senior Breakfast) ticket prices: 
      Bundle Price with ASB- $75.00
      Bundle Price with w/o ASB- $80.00
 
Senior Prom individual ticket prices: 
     Senior Prom individual ticket with ASB- $65.00
     Senior Prom individual ticket w/o ASB- $70.00
     Senior Prom guest ticket (must have a guest dance contract filed with the school) - $70.00

Senior Breakfast individual ticket prices: 
     individual ticket price with ASB- $20.00
     individual ticket price w/o ASB- $25.00
 

We encourage any student who needs financial assistance for Prom and Senior Breakfast tickets to connect with their school counselor or administrator. 


Senior Breakfast Program:

You can make your impact at Senior Breakfast by writing a beautiful, funny or serious message to your child. Congratulate them on finishing high school, getting accepted to college, joining the workforce or anything else you can think of! Prices are $5.00 for a 1/6 of a page with a max word count of 25 words. Attached are examples of what the messages could look like. Messages can be paid for and dropped off through the IHS Bookkeepers office. The last day to submit a message is May 24th. Please email Julie Westerbeck (jwesterbeck@nsd.org) with any questions.


Prom Chaperones

Senior Class is looking for parents to help chaperone the dance at the MoPOP. Chaperone duties would include watching exhibits and helping check in students into the dance. Prom is on May 18th from 7-10. If you are interested in being a chaperone please email 1023644@apps.nsd.org so we can provide you with more information! 
 

Prom Attire

Prom is a formal event. Inglemoor High School has a dress exchange program where students can borrow a dress from the school. Students are encouraged to visit the Girls Locker room during their lunch on Wednesdays through May 15th if they wish to borrow a dress for Prom. In addition to our school, North Sound nonprofit is giving away gently used prom attire. Please click this link for more information.
 

Senior Prom Royalty voting:

Prom final royalty voting will begin today and stay open until May 3rd. Winners will be announced at Prom on May 18th. Please click this link to vote for this year's royalty
 
 
REMINDER: Although prom will be held at MoPop, this is a school event and all school rules still apply.

Caps and Gowns & Honor Cords

Caps and Gowns

Caps and gowns were distributed to seniors on April 3rd. If you ordered one and have not received it yet, stop by the Bookkeeper Office to see if it is there, as a number of students have not picked theirs up yet. Students who have fines that need to be paid will not be able to pick up their cap or gown until the fines have been cleared. Any student who still needs to order a cap and gown and has not purchased one will need to contact Jostens directly. Please click this link to visit the Jostens website

Honor Cords

Seniors- Do you want to purchase an honor cord to wear at graduation? Honor Cords for all clubs and classes will be on sale starting Monday, April 29th and run through Friday, May 10th at 3pm. Come by the ASB Bookkeeper office to purchase your honor cord for your club or class. A list of what clubs/classes can purchase honor cords and what the requirements for those honor cords will be posted outside of Mrs. Heindel's office. Honor Cords for clubs and classes will only be given to students who have paid for their cord by the May 10th deadline. Honor cords for those students who purchased a cord by the May 10th deadline will be distributed in late May/early June. The prices for the different types of cords will be posted next to the requirement document. Prices range from $10- $15 per cord. 

The information above does not apply to the following clubs/classes: IB diploma and certificate of merit students, National Honor Society students, Japanese Honor Society Students, Band and Choir students.

Inglemoor High School and the Northshore School District do not condone a “Senior Skip Day.”  Unexcused absences will be assigned for non-attendance.
 
Nov – May..................... Senior Party tickets for sale.  Financial assistance is available based on need.  The Senior Party is sponsored by the Parents of Graduating Seniors (POGS) and is not affiliated with or sponsored by IHS or the Northshore School District.  For information email pogs2019ihs@gmail.com.
 
March 29....................... Honor Society Community Service hours are due by 3:00pm. NO EXCEPTIONS.
 
April 3............................. Pick up graduation announcements/caps & gowns in the cafeteria during both lunches.  All fines and fees must be cleared. Be sure to try on the gown prior to graduation day to make sure the height and width fit you.  You can direct questions about your orders to Jostens at 1-800-JOSTENS (800-567-8367).
 
May 1.............................. National deadline for accepting college admission offers. Be sure to notify colleges of non-acceptance, as well as acceptance to the college of your choice.
 
May 1.................... After mid-term testing, counselors will send parents a letter of notification of those seniors failing a required course, missing graduation requirements, or not in compliance with the attendance policy.
 
May 1–10....................... Students should report to Ms. Goodman in the Counseling Office all academic awards, scholarships, Full-ride athletic scholarships and those students who will earn a Running Start AA Degrees before the end of June.  Use the form handed out by the counselors in your senior history class or pick up a copy of the form in the Counseling Office.  No emails or voicemails, please.  Deadline is May 10.
 
May 3-17………….... Seniors are required to complete the Post-High-School Plan survey in Naviance. The survey has to be completed before you can pick up Graduation Tickets on May 20th & 21st.
 
May 6–17....................... Prom tickets on sale during lunch. All fines and fees must be cleared.
 
May 6 –24...................... IB and Advanced Placement (AP) exams

Teachers will notify the counselors of those students with failing grades.  Students who were previously failing and are now passing a required course, and have met all other graduation requirements, will be reinstated to the graduation roster and may take part in the Commencement Ceremony.  Students and parents will be contacted by phone by the counselors.
 
June 10........................... Senior Yearbook distribution.  All fines and fees must be cleared by 2:00pm on June 6 to receive your yearbook on this date.  
 
June 11............................ Lip Dub filming
 
June 11............................ Life Skill Training
 
June 12........................... Senior class meeting, 1:00pm, IHS Gym for commencement rehearsal.  All seniors must attend.

June 13........................... IHS all-school yearbook distribution.  All fines and fees must be cleared to receive your yearbook on this date.
 
June 14........................... Senior Recognition Assembly in the Gym, 7:55am.  Seniors meet in cafeteria at 7:30am to line up for assembly.
 
June 14........................... Senior Breakfast: All students must ride the bus.  Buses depart at 9:45am and return around 1:00pm.  Financial assistance is available to seniors based on need; see your counselor.  Appropriate attire includes slacks, skirts, or dresses.
 
June 18........................... Commencement Ceremony, 3:30pm, Angel of the Winds Arena at Everett.  Seniors report to IHS at 12:30pm.  All buses will leave for Angel of the Winds Arena by 1:00pm.  Students not riding buses must be at the arena no later than 2:00pm.  Doors open to ticket holders at 3:00pm and 2:45pm for guests needing assistance (elderly, handicapped, etc.). A limited number of tickets will also be available for purchase at the arena.
                              Warning:  DO NOT bring personal items on the bus to the arena.  There is no secure storage in the arena. Leave all items with parents/guardians.
 
June 27........................... Graduates will need to pick up their Senior Packet containing diploma, transcript, and immunizations in the Counseling Office. If you know you will be moving please make sure we receive the new address. Your fines and fees must be cleared before you can pick up the Senior Packet.  
 
June 28........................... Final Transcripts mailed to colleges.  If your college has an earlier deadline, it is your responsibility to notify them of the possible delay.
