Cap and Gown Information

Purchase Choices:

Cap and Gown

Cap and gown distribution will be April 14th during lunches. If students are unable to pick up on April 14th, Caps and Gowns will be in the main office for pick up at a later date. All fines and fees must be paid prior to pick up of these items.

Graduation Tickets

Each senior will receive 5 free tickets. Tickets will be available during both lunches outside the counseling office on May 28 and 29. Graduating Seniors do not need a ticket and they are not included in the 5 free tickets provided per graduate. Tickets do not sell out, but seating in the stadium is first come, first served basis. No reservations will be permitted. Additional tickets may be purchased through the bookkeepers office for $10 each.

Senior Graduation Day Slideshow

We are excited to be continuing the tradition of a Senior Slideshow being presented at the graduation ceremony during seating and live streamed for friends and family.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Email Mrs. Shipley your name as you would like it to appear on the slide. ashipley@nsd.org

2. Include a favorite childhood photo.

3. Attach your senior photo or current photo.

4. Let us know if you have any plans for after graduation (career, trade, travel, or college choice)

This information and photo's are due no later than June 1st. If no photo is received, we will use the photo on file for the yearbook. Don't wait! Send us this information as soon as possible!

Need an Unofficial Transcript?

If you need an unofficial transcript, which is a record of all high school classes you’ve taken, they are uploaded for you to StudentVUE. Unofficial transcripts are helpful to access when self reporting classes while completing college applications. Look for the documents tab in StudentVUE - it’s there!

1. User name: Student Number
2. Password: would be something you selected, if you need to select “Forgot Password” to get this reset
How to Request Transcripts
1. Click on Colleges “I’m applying to”
2. Click on red “+” sign
3. Add college
4. Application
  1. Regular Decision
  2. Early Decision
  3. Early Action etc.
5. Submission type (You will choose how you are applying and how the transcripts will be sent)
  1. Direct to the Institution
  2. Common Application (You will most likely use the Common Application for multiple private school applications.) When choosing Common App, those transcripts are only uploaded by the counselor. Make sure you invite your counselor on Common App or they will not have access to upload your transcript.
  3. I am not sure THIS OPTION WILL PREVENT A TRANSCRIPT BEING SENT. CHANGE IT TO DIRECT OR COMMON APPLICATION.
6. Click on “Add and Request Transcript”
7. Click on type of transcript you are requesting – Initial (Do not select other options)
8. Additional Materials: Please note: It is your responsibility to arrange for your ACT or SAT scores to be sent directly to the colleges from ACT.org or SAT.org (College Board). IHS will not send any SAT or ACT scores to the colleges.
  1. Click “Request and Finish.”
Please note, you may need to refresh the page to show all the colleges to which you are applying. PLEASE NOTE: If a college has the “CA” in the submission type, you will need to invite your counselor online to your Common Application so that your transcript can be uploaded to the Common Application.

Mr. Allen will be sending out emails through Naviance to your NSD Google account, so please check your student email on a regular basis.

Common Application

If you are applying to multiple private colleges, we ask that you use the Common Application. It will save you, your counselor, and your teachers quite a bit of time. Visit the Common to see which colleges use the Common App. Create an account and get started. The website has a Help Center which is a great resource if you have questions.

The form below includes directions on how to invite your counselor to complete the Common App School Report. If you need a counselor letter of recommendation to accompany your school report, make an appointment with your counselor for further instructions.

Inviting your counselor to complete the online school report for Common Application

Complete every section in the Education tab first Be sure to enter your counselor's name and email correctly.
Once you have chosen colleges to apply to, go to the My Colleges tab, click one one of the colleges you are applying to, and select Assign Recommenders.
Complete the FERPA Release Authorization.
Click Invite Counselor to have your counselor complete the School Report form which includes a Letter of Recommendation.
Fill out the counselor information. Again, be sure that the counselor name and email is typed in correctly or your counselor will not receive the invitation.
Once everything is entered, click Send Invite and an email will be sent directly to your counselor. Your counselor will fill out your online School Report form, upload your official transcript, and submit your counselor Letter of Recommendation. You DO NOT need to order an official transcript from the counseling office, we will upload it online.
For the Letter of Recommendation, we do require that you make an appointment with your counselor to formally ask that they write you a Letter of Recommendation.

2026 Grad Night Senior Party

This annual tradition provides a SAFE and FUN CELEBRATION for the graduating seniors.

It is a drug and alcohol-free celebration and takes place in the evening after the graduation ceremony.

The Party is on June 15, 2026, from 9pm to 5:30am.

Students are whisked away to several secret locations for an overnight celebration! All food, beverages, entertainment, and transportation are included in the price of the party. Students will board buses around 9pm and return to Inglemoor the next morning around 5:30am
