Office Hours
The main office staff and bookkeeper will be available Monday - Thursday throughout July from 9:00am - 2:00pm. During August our office will be open each day from 8:00am - 3:00pm. Please email any questions or concerns to the secretary, Anna Shipley, ashipley@nsd.org or the office manager, Jenni Vaninetti, jvaninetti@nsd.org

The Counseling Office, including registration, will be closed throughout the month of July.

Senior Pictures
All photos for the senior portraits section of the yearbook will be taken by Dorian Studios. These portraits of the class of 2023 seniors will be taken by Dorian Studios this summer. These portrait sessions are free for all seniors. Schedule your senior photo to be taken on July 11, 12 or 19. You can go to the photographer's website and schedule your own time here: Dorian Studio - Appointment System. For Seniors who will not be able to attend the portrait session in July, there will be make-up photos available on October 14 at Inglemoor High School.

August Marching Band Practice
All students in the Inglemoor Marching Band are expected to attend marching band camp in August. Camp dates are August 15-19, from 10am - 6pm. Rehearsals will take place at IHS. Please contact Charlie Fix at cfix@nsd.org for more information.

Club information
Students looking to join a club next year can get a jump start on learning more information about the clubs offered at Inglemoor. Use this link to preview clubs and see where you would like to get involved.

Fall Sport Tryouts
Fall sport tryouts will begin on Monday, August 22, except for football tryouts, which will begin Wednesday, August 17. Fall athletic registration opened online on May 1. To register, visit the Inglemoor Athletic page and click on the “Register for Athletics” tab on the left. Final Forms is our platform for athletic registration and there are instructions on how to sign up on the athletic page.  You will need a current sports physical in order to try out, that will not expire during your season. Please check the individual sports pages on the Inglemoor website for the most up-to-date tryout information. Participation fees for Fall sports will open for payment online through TouchBase on Friday, August 12.

School Payments
Credit card payments can be made online and in person. (Not over the phone). Visit https://wa-northshore.intouchreceipting.com for all school payments except cafeteria/meal accounts. Contact the IHS bookkeeper, Lesley Clawson, at lclawson@nsd.org to request your family’s official TouchBase username and password–Guest accounts do not work for student purchases. Please allow up to 72 hours to process your request.

If you qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch, your club and athletic fees can be waived. Your class fees and testing fees can be cleared, too. Each school year you must fill out the required Fee Waiver Consent form. This opt-in form MUST be completed EVERY YEAR, even if you automatically qualify for Free/Reduced-priced Meals.  Fee waivers do not apply to optional items like spirit wear or yearbooks, only to items required for participation.

Complete both the Free/Reduced Lunch application and required Fee Waiver Consent form at Free and Reduced-Price Meals - Northshore School District. Applications for the 23-23 school year will open August 1.

ParentVue
ParentVue allows parents access to their personal information, phone numbers, and email addresses plus your student’s contact information and emergency contact information. You can also see class schedules, report cards, course history, graduation status, and attendance. Starting August 1, email Ms. Goodman at rgoodman@nsd.org to receive your ParentVue Activation Key; this is not the same as your TouchBase login. Please allow 72 hours to process this request. Families new to this district will not be able to receive this information until the first day of school.

Contact Information
Please review your student and parent/guardian contact information listed in ParentVue for accuracy. To make address changes please email Ms. Goodman at rgoodman@nsd.org. Much of our school communication is sent via email, therefore it is important your contact information remains up to date.

Parking Information
Parking passes will go on sale to Seniors only on August 12. Sales will open to Juniors on August 15.  Parking will only be opened to Sophomores after the first day of school if space is available.
Passes are for the full 22-23 school year and will cost $50, including tax. There are two steps to register for a pass:

1) Login to your official TouchBase account to make the payment. Do not create a Guest account! Contact the IHS bookkeeper, Lesley Clawson, at lclawson@nsd.org if you need your official TouchBase username and password.
2) Within 2 business days after payment, you will receive an email to your studentID@apps.nsd.org email address with a link to the online registration form. The registration form must be completed to finalize your registration.

Student Schedules
Current students will be able to access their class schedules online beginning August 20. Any schedule you see before that date is not correct. Students new to our district will need to come to the Counseling Office for a printout version of their schedule any time after August 30.

Schedule Changes
From August 20 - 24, students will be able to access the Schedule Change Request Google form through the IHS Counseling website. Schedule changes requested via email will not be honored. More information will be provided in the Back-to-School mailer in August and on the website.

LINK Crew Training
Students who were accepted into the LINK Crew program will meet on Friday, August 26, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm in the IHS gym. Link leaders who were accepted into the program will receive a reminder email in August.

First Day of School
On Wednesday August 31, all Freshman students will participate in an orientation with LINK leaders and limited staff.  Transportation for all in district students will be provided. Backpacks are not needed on LINK Day. More information will be provided in August!

The first day of school for all students, including returning Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors,
 is Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Transportation Information
The 2022-2023 bus information including bus number, stop times, and bus stop will be available using E-Link on August 31, 2022. Please note that drop off times do not include stop times on shortened Wednesdays (teacher collaboration days). Stop times are subject to change. E-Link is not supported on all tablets or smartphones. E-Link can be found on the District Website under the Transportation Department Tab.

The arrival time is an automated estimate; actual arrival times are determined by school departure time, travel distance, traffic, route design and student needs. The information displayed in E-Link is subject to confirmation by calling Transportation at 425-408-7900.

Student Pictures
Student pictures will be taken during the school day on Friday, September 2. All students will have an assigned time during their English class where they will be required to have their picture taken. All students will be issued an Inglemoor High School ID card free of charge.  All IHS students are required to carry their School ID while on campus or participating in school-related activities.; also, photo ID is required to ride school busses. Because the Student ID is used to verify identity for testing, sporting events, and school safety records, it is imperative that students do not alter their appearance with hats, face paint, temporary tattoos, or dark/heavy glasses.

Picture order forms will be available to pick up at school in August by Dorian studios. Packets will not be mailed home this year. Additional packets can be found in the Main Office, and the Student Center. If you would like to purchase online you can do so with the information below.

Food Services for 2022-2023
The Northshore School District, like all others in the state, will again begin to charge for school lunch and breakfast at the start of next school year. The Federal COVID-19 waivers that have allowed U.S. public schools to offer free breakfasts and lunches to all students regardless of income expires June 2022. This means students who apply for benefits and qualify for free or reduced-priced meals will continue to receive meals at no charge in 2022-23, and students who do not apply for or qualify for benefits will be charged at the paid meal price for breakfast and lunch when participating.

What can you do to prepare for next year?
Reapply for benefits in August! Students need to qualify each school year for free or reduced-priced meals in order to continue receiving benefits. Applications will be available in August to apply for 2022-23 school year benefits.

In addition to meals, those who qualify can also receive discounted or free school services including athletic fees, field trip fees, ASB fees, college application fees, and more pursuant to House Bill 1660!

Set up a Titan Family Portal account.
Be prepared for purchasing meals by opening a Titan Family Portal Account where you can add money to your student's account, set up recurring payments, see purchases, set low-balance reminders, move money between siblings and even apply for benefits.

High School PSAT Testing
Northshore School District Sophomores and Juniors will have the opportunity to take the PSAT at the high schools on Wednesday, October 12.  The PSAT serves as a practice for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The exam fee is $18. To request a fee waiver, please complete the Fee Waiver Consent form linked above, being sure to check the box for "PSAT/AP Testing fees."

Process for requesting PSAT accommodations
Parents can begin the formal request process by obtaining an accommodations application packet by visiting www.collegeboard.org. In addition, parents must submit a copy of their student’s most recent special education evaluation or testing results within the last three years, along with information about how testing accommodations were accessed in classroom testing situations over the last four months.

Information regarding accommodations for students on an IEP or 504 Plan
Parents of students on an IEP or 504 Plan with specific testing accommodations have three options for the PSAT. It is important to note that testing accommodations for the PSAT are limited to providing additional time for completing the test, and taking the PSAT in a smaller group setting. Students on an IEP or 504 Plan can take the PSAT without accommodations, since it is a low stakes test. This gives students an opportunity to assess whether or not they will need accommodations when taking the SAT for college admissions. Please review the Requesting Accommodations Through the School link for more information.

It is important to note: College Board, the governing body of the PSAT and SAT, approves testing accommodations for students on an IEP or 504 Plan, and not the Northshore School District.  Also please note that this process can take up to 7 weeks.

We look forward to working together with you to make next year a success!
Thank you and have a fun and safe summer break!
