Unified Bowling

Starting the winter of 2018 the Northshore School District high schools will be starting Unified Bowling.

We are actively looking for Special Olympic athletes (students with intellectual disabilities) and partners (students without intellectual disabilities) that would like to participate in Unified Bowling.

For our first year in the program we will compete against the Northshore schools only. This will allow us to learn what we need to do as we develop this new program in the district; and develop interest in the community.

As we get ready for our inaugural season there are a lot of questions about which forms need to be filled out for Special Olympics and for Northshore School District.

Originally the plan had been for us to have our first practice at Kenmore Lanes on Monday the 7th. Instead we would like to use that time to make sure we are all on the same page for the upcoming season.

Coach Kaisa and I will be at Inglemoor in room 816 on Monday from 2:50 – 4:00. We will be there to make sure that all of the team have all the correct paperwork filled out and answer any questions about the upcoming season.

If you’re not sure yet if you want to be a part of the Unified Bowling Team this would also be a great time to come any and meet with the coaches and answer any questions you may have.

This is an informal meeting, you can stop in at any time between 2:50 -4:00. Once we make sure that you have all the correct paperwork, answered any questions you have and given the schedule for the season you will be free to be on your way.

Please feel free to contact either Kaisa or myself if you have any questions before then.

If you are interested in being an “athlete” then you will need to fill out the application for participation

If you are interested in being a “partner” then you will need to fill out the application to be a partner.
