  • USRowing Membership: Required for insurance ($75 new/$65 annual renewal).
  • Purchase a school ASB card.
  • Register on both FinalForms and through the IHS Crew Booster Teamlinkt page.
  • A current sports physical.
  • A float test (once during the high school career is sufficient - in the Crew Safety Guidelines section, in the FinalForms registration you will find information and forms for taking a float test.)
  • Costs for participation in Nationals in the Spring season are not included in the fees.  Boats that qualify will incur additional costs for athletes who choose to participate.
Financial Assistance

We strive to ensure every athlete has a seat in the boat. Students qualifying for free/reduced meals may qualify for a registration waiver. For assistance, please contact lclawson@nsd.org.

More About Crew:

The Inglemoor High School Crew Booster Club (IHS Crew Boosters) recently signed a partnership agreement with the Northshore School District (NSD) whereby registration fees for each season will be collected directly by the Inglemoor Crew Booster Club.

The Booster Club will be funding the Crew ASB account to cover the coaching salaries, payroll taxes, transportation, and other necessary fees.  All other expenses will be paid by IHS Crew Booster Club either directly or through the Inglemoor Crew ASB account. Expenses may include equipment, uniforms, regatta fees and more.   NSD and IHS Crew Booster club have set the registration fee for the upcoming season at $875 per athlete.  IHS Crew Booster Club works to fundraise in our community and beyond to offset costs to families. We also are the beneficiaries of a King County Get Active, Stay Active grant, and we are grateful for the support of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation. We strive to make sure we have a seat in the boat for any student athlete who wants to join the team.

Important Notes About Crew

In Spring of 2024, as part of the NSD budget development process, the district reviewed a number of options to reduce costs and help close a large projected deficit. Among the options reviewed were eliminating non-WIAA sports (crew, water polo and lacrosse) or requiring these sports to be fully funded by participants.  Board Policy and Procedure 2151 have long required this of non-WIAA sports, but the district has not enforced it uniformly for some time. After consulting with the school board, the decision was made that going forward, all non-WIAA sport costs must be fully covered by parents and students.

Board Procedure 2151:
Parents and/or participants provide the funds to pay for coaches’ salaries, equipment (including helmets, helmet inspections and reconditioning, if needed for such sport), mouthpieces, uniforms, pool fees (if applicable), officials’ fees, transportation (if necessary), licensed athletic trainers (where required for safety and/or insurance requirements), and site supervision for practice(s) and contests. Funds must be sufficient to cover any pre and post- season costs. Students will not be required to pay the athletic participation fee but will be required to purchase their school’s ASB card.

Each year the district will provide the groups with a calculation of anticipated costs. Student participation fees will be calculated based on the prior year’s participation numbers. Funds for the rental of the pool use must be deposited with the district prior to the payment of each pool invoice. Salaries for coaching staff must be deposited with the district prior to the beginning of the season.
