Google Takeout is a service that allows you to backup or save data stored in your Google account. This tool provides an easy way for students and staff leaving the district to get a copy of all their documents that are in their NSD Google account. Follow these simple steps.
NOTE: Google changes services and procedures frequently. This information may be incorrect if such a change has occurred recently.

Log into your NSD Google Apps account.

Go to www.google.com/takeout

Select the data you want to download (Drive, Gmail, Calendar, etc.)

Click Next

Check to make sure File Type is set to “.zip”

Check to make sure Delivery Method is set to “Send Download link via email”

Click Create Archive.

When your zip file is ready for download, you will receive an email with a link to your zip file. (This could take minutes or hours depending upon how many documents you have.)

You will receive the email in your NSD Gmail account. Once you receive the email, you have 1 week to download the zip file to your personal device.
NOTE: You may need to change your Google browser download location:

On your computer, open Chrome.

At the top right, click More. Settings.

At the bottom, click Advanced. Downloads.

Adjust your download settings: To change the default download location, click Change and select where you'd like your files to be saved.
